PsychPlus Acquires Koa Health

Houston, Texas-based psychiatry practice PsychPlus has completed its acquisition of Koa Health, a London-based digital therapeutic company known for its B2B-focused mental health solutions. The deal marks a significant move for PsychPlus as it looks to integrate digital tools into its traditional clinical model.

Koa Health specializes in evidence-based digital interventions, offering employers and health plans access to scalable mental wellness programs. By bringing these assets in-house, PsychPlus aims to bridge the gap between in-person psychiatric care and digital self-help tools. The acquisition gives the Texas practice a ready-made platform for reaching patients beyond the clinic walls.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. PsychPlus said the integration will allow its providers to offer a hybrid care model, combining face-to-face appointments with app-based support for conditions like anxiety, depression, and stress. The company has been expanding rapidly across the southern U.S., and this deal signals a push into the European market as well.

Koa Health had raised significant venture funding in recent years, including a round led by Wellington Partners and others. The company's leadership will transition under PsychPlus's operational structure, though some key staff are expected to remain in London to manage the digital product line.
