NPK Access Solutions LLC has announced a $40 million investment to expand its manufacturing facility in Carencro, Louisiana. The project is expected to boost production capacity by roughly 50 percent and will introduce a new composite matting product line to the company's operations.
Company officials say the expansion will create 38 new direct jobs while retaining 124 existing positions. Economic development projections also estimate the project will support approximately 109 total new jobs across the Acadiana Region.
The move comes as demand for composite matting continues to grow in industrial and infrastructure sectors. The new product line is designed to offer lighter, more durable alternatives to traditional wooden matting used in construction and oilfield applications.
Local officials welcomed the investment, noting it strengthens the region's manufacturing base. The expansion is expected to be completed over the next two years, with hiring for the new positions beginning in phases.
